New York Fashion Week SS 2013....Peony

A chic way (literally!) to wear a beautiful embellished skirt (Peony's is by Alberta Ferretti) during the day. Inspiration, perhaps, for a skirt tucked away in your wardrobe saved for "a special occasion" (or worn once to a special occasion and then put away;). Team with a simple tee and a fun pair of coloured pumps.

Recreate Peony's look (kind of):

Embellished skirt: J.Crew sequined lace skirt, Clements Ribeiro sequined skirt, Rochas lace skirt, Sonia Rykiel sequined skirt, Topshop lilac embellished mini skirt (a whole lot shorter than Peony's skirt but still do-able with a tee), Proenza Schouler embellished mini skirt (see it worn here) or J.Crew floral-sequined skirt.
