London Street Style...Graduate Fashion Week 2009

Phew! It's been a mad couple of days out at Graduate Fashion Week where I've been wielding the Nikon. Meeting loads of lovely people, been oohing and aahing over the incredible talent and creations coming out of the various fashion colleges in the UK, watching some shows from the Press Lounge, and, oh, doing a bit of shooting :)

Stay tuned for more Graduate Fashion Week stylin' throughout this week.

p.s. whoops. Just wanted to add that I am one of those very uncool people who don't have a blackberry so if you have emailed me (err or want to email me :)) then I will get back to you. I am just hopping around like a bilby at the moment.

  2. Hey Vanessa!
I came across your blog yesterday and I must say, I love it! I've looked at every post right back to the beginning. I admire your keen eye for style and your clean, vibrant photographs. Keep up the fantastic work - I will continue to watch this blog :)
P.S I hope you don't mind but I posted one of your photos in my blog sidebar.

  3. Thanks so much Arabelle and Danz!! I am so FAR behind in replying to emails and comments that it isn't funny. But I will get there!
Arabelle- glad you got it :):)
Danz- thank you! Course you can use the photo. The only thing is (and I need to do a post on this) I think I have not been "saving for web" which means that my photos can look really horrible with weird colours if you don't use internet explorer (which I use). SO, I need to figure out how to "save for web" in photoshop and need to change the dpi to 72- I tried last night and it didn't work. So if it looks strange then that could be the reason....I'll try and change all my photos once I work out how to do it!

  4. Hi Vanessa
I've just come across your blog via stylebubble and really admire your work. Your photographs are so captivating, fresh and just so....brilliant :)
What camera is it that you use?
I have a Canon 350D but haven't got past the automatic mode yet!

    Keep up the good work!!!

  5. Hollllla Ad! Thank you! I am blushing madly at all the lovely comments that have come in from being featured on Susie's blog :):)
Anyhoo, the camera I use is a second-hand Nikon D200 (but I lust daily after the Nikon D3 or D700!). The lens I use almost exclusively at the moment is the nikon 85mm 1.4 lens which is BEAUTIFUL although you have to move waaaaaaay back from the subject to get everything in :)
I used to use the 50mm 1.8 lens (cheapest prime lens) but the 85mm is much sharper and gives that lovely bokeh and blurry background.
