Running with the Fash Pack...Paris Men's Collections SS 2010

My absolute favorite guy from the men's collections- I think he either works for Vogue Hommes International or L'Uomo Vogue- I couldn't quite work it out. Anyone know?

Edit: Francesco Cominelli from Vogue Hommes

Anyway, he always looked completely fabulous- I LOVE that yellow shirt with the tiny balloon detailing on the left side. What shoes was he wearing? A pair of pale tan lace-ups sans socks. In fact, I barely spotted a sock all week-everyone was sporting the rolled pants with dress shoes, loafers or (gasp) deck shoes and no socks look. Well-turned ankles were an absolute must :)

p.s. Does a man wear those little sockettes/ped socks to keep his feet and shoes from becoming too whiffy?

  4. Ideally we are supposed to but if you use cedar shoe trees and don't wear them too often things stay pretty fresh.

  5. Mat Ahoy- thanks Mat! Yeah, I suspect that you would have to be mighty careful wearing this shade of yellow- it certainly isn't a blend into the background shade and paired with the wrong skin colour, it could leave you looking like you had hit the vino too hard the night before.
I just checked- The Face Hunter has a pic up of this guy in one of the outfits I missed- a blue suit. Very cool.
Also, those stripey pants- one would have to wear them rather cautiously I guess, to avoid them looking like pj pants?
Adam- yes, I think the not wearing the same shoes every day is a definite must, and cedar shoe trees are great for keeping the shape and soaking up "excessive moisture". I love the idea of cedar blocks for keeping moths at bay but in my experience IT DOES NOT WORK! My recent moth invasion is evidence of that. Must do a blog post on it :)
Adrien- Thanks Adrien! How is Paris now? Less hot than it was on Sunday?

  10. WCGU2gether (why I don't just type your whole name is a mystery- it takes just as long!)- yup, I reakon the murse is getting a wee bit smaller in response to the economic crisis- less ostentatious perhaps?...but I also suspect they haven't decreased in price!
Jack Daniel- good detective work Mr JD!
Chad- thank you! It would be better if I didn't keep cutting off people's feet and could show you their entire outfit. My Mantra should be "MUST NOT CUT OFF PEOPLE's FEET!"
Tina- My Nana used to do that!!! Sometimes, when she would first put them on, there would be a "PUFFFFF" of baby powder following in her wake!!! Hilarious

  11. Vanessa - I know what you mean about the moths! I never saw one until I moved to London, and now they try to eat all my clothes. Not my shoes though. Don't know if this has to do with the cedar, or simply the fact that they are shoes.
I support that blog post idea of yours. Moths are just horrible.
