Hannah-Rose, captured, twice.
Hannah has a lovely blog called Capture the Castle. She writes beautifully (she is a media student), gathers together gorgeous photographs and while she utterly adores fashion, you can tell she is interested in things other than just clothes (which I think is completely essential). I got to spend some time with Hannah and her friends during Australian Fashion Week where they entertained me with their thoughts on Gossip Girl (or was it The Hills?), the desirability of a PS1 bag, the fabulousness of all things Dion Lee, where to shop in Sydney now (Lands End- apparently the sales are awesome) and taught me how to survive fashion week in Sydney (lots of sangria and wine at Cruise Bar, apparently!).

She is gorgeous! I love her 2nd outfit.
ReplyDelete@E is for Eleanor- she is isn't she! And super smart and funny as well (oh, and she's only 19 :)). I love the way she has rolled up her sleeves on the trench in the first outfit- it beats cutting the sleeves off and then trying to reattach them if you don't like the look!
ReplyDeleteI really like her belted jacket in the 2nd look as well- it is something I would wear.
Love, love, love those boots and I'm a new follower to Vanessa's blog - totally my cup of tea. Thanks for the introduction :-)
ReplyDelete@Evie- hey Evie, nice to meet you! I definitely like being someone's cup of tea (with milk, no sugar :))
ReplyDeleteShe has great style!!!
ReplyDeleteACK! love her looks- making some of my winter coats short sleeve has been on my to-do list for a while (i have so many and cant stop buying them even though i live in texas) great shoot!
ReplyDeleteshe is so stunning! (and an amazing friend...)
ReplyDeletefantastic choice of subject vanessa!!
xx
hi vanessa, i have a huge smile on my face right now, you have really brightened up exam preparation for me. thanks for saying such lovely things, I had so much fun hanging out with you during fashion week. I hope you make it back next year! incidentally my coat in the second picture is from lands end haha! it is such a great store.
ReplyDeletehow have you been? hope you are well!

Those boots are divine, especially with the peeping socks. I absolutely love these photos. Always have a soft spot for shallow focus :)
ReplyDeleteShe looks great and great photos, as always!
ReplyDeleteI'm a huge fan of Hannah's blog, she writes beautifully. She's going to have a great career (and she looks great too)
ReplyDeletelove her outfit in the bottom image
ReplyDeletethat second outfit is one of those that you dream of at night and can only hope to find those exact pieces on your next shopping excursion - perfection!
ReplyDelete@hannah- yay!! So glad you saw the photos hannah and am even gladder (is that even a word?!) that I brightened up your exam prep time :) Oooo cool re your skirt! I went to Lands End on the Friday afternoon of fashion week and it was brilliant- she has a really great, edited collection in there...and her pup is so cute as well! What brand was the coat Hannah????? Can you recall?
ReplyDeleteThanks everyone else for your lovely comments- I am sure Hannah appreciated them as well :)
@BB- I know! She put everything together so well. I find that I have a lot of separates in my wardrobe but never quite know what to wear with what. I get confused.....and so mostly give up.
Gladder works fine for me haha! I know, isn't the store incredible? The edit is perfect, I find that she always gets in the pieces I want (but obviously, can't afford, but want to look at at least haha) and she never over-buys. The store is never too packed with stock, and she has a lot of labels there. It is intense, but perfect. Their sale has just started! you're missing out on all the good bargains!! next time :). And where Lands End is, that's just right around the corner from my house. So on the plus side, the PS1s are always within reach when i need to hold one in my hands, but on the minus side i am wayyyy too close to that store for my bank account's liking haha. The coat is by Opening Ceremony. and yes, thankyou everyone for saying such lovely things, it means a lot.
ReplyDelete@hannah-rose- Oooo love Opening Ceremony!! Did you like those sort of clog-like boots everyone was wearing last year from Opening Ceremony? Yes, I really liked how Jane had everything set out and not toooo much stuff to confuse people like me!
ReplyDeleteI actually did like the clog boots a lot, the little studs/rivets/whatever they were were so cute. wish i could have snagged a pair somehow. :)
