Paris Men's Fashion Week SS 2011
I am off back to Paris again tomorrow until Tuesday to shoot for a client (sadly there will be no couture action for me), and then flying to Berlin on Wednesday to photograph at fashion week for a couple of days. So excited about visiting Berlin- it has been on my "list" of places to visit for a very long time. If any of you know of any cool places (shops, coffee places, restaurants, whatever!) to visit in Berlin it would be brilliant if you could let me know.

Love these! The tones and colour palette are awesome.
ReplyDeleteRe Berlin, I was there for the first time a couple of months ago to visit a friend and he drove me around the city by night. I definitely recommend Checkpoint Charlie and the Brandenburg Gate by night - beautiful when lit up and no crowds. East Berlin for cafes, architecture and general cool vibe. The boutiques in the city are lovely. There is also an excellent sushi place whose name escapes me, but I'll email you with it and some cafes if I can get a hold of my friend before you go!

@Michelle- Thank you so much Michelle! I am definitely planning on visiting Checkpoint Charlie and the Brandenburg Gate- and it sounds like a night visit might be well worth it. I will have to do a bit more googling re East Berlin, I had thought I might spend quite a bit of time wandering in Mitte. It is 4am and I am madly googling cafe's in Berlin (before my Eurostar to Paris)- argghh I am going to be so exhasted tonight!
ReplyDeleteShe is really very beautiful. Is she a model?
ReplyDeleteBerlin is on my list too... have a good time!
Hi Vanessa, the blog is looking beautiful as always!
ReplyDeleteI love Berlin, you must try and check out Solar Bar while you're there (http://www.solarberlin.com/), it is just round the corner from Checkpoint Charlie and is a bar and restaurant about 20 floors up - great views of the city by night! Also great for German celeb spotting and lots of fashion week parties!
Also, for a super-cool store, visit 14oz in Mitte - it is owned by Karl-Heinz Muller, the same mastermind behind the Bread & Butter trade show. I has fabulous interiors and such a cool concept - the staff alone are worth photographing! Also they have a HUGE fish tank behind the counter full of jelly fish - I tried to capture it for hours!
Have fun, be prepared for the humidity!

I am always fascinated at how people carry off elegance whilst still wearing flats. This outfit is so carefree, but sophisticated at the same time. I love it.

Her top is so easy and cute! I saw an identical top at Whistles in Europe last summer and am so made I didn't get it! It had such perfect collar detailing.
