Does anyone know who this girl is?? I think I photographed her at LFW last September in the Christopher Kane for Topshop gorilla print dress so maybe she works for Topshop (I took this outside the Topshop Unique show this season). She has the most amazing red hair and freckes (yeah, yeah, I know: I am obsessed!).
p.s. Off to Milan tomorrow. Very worried about finding my way around since I got hopelessly lost in New York (and everyone says it is almost impossible to get lost in New York because it is a grid system....mmmmmm I proved everyone wrong! I have absolutely no sense of direction. I even got a little group of us slightly lost the other day on the way to a show in London). I intend to attach myself like a limpet to Tamu from All the Pretty Birds since she lives in Milan!
This girl is amazing, you are so right. I had hoped to meet you at LFW and kept asking people I knew if they knew you, some said yes but my asking the question and you being in the same vicinity at the time just didn't happen. Hopefully Feb. Enjoy Milan I hope they look after you there. Xxxx
ReplyDelete@Fashionistable- hee hee!I try to remain a little bit stealthy but my very loud (so I am told!) voice (and Aussie accent) is pretty hard to miss! Make sure you email me next time and we can meet up at Feb fashion week.
ReplyDeleteMios Dio. What a f-ing amazing set of photos. You are killing me here. Killing me. With joy -- so all good.
ReplyDeletewow her outfit & smile would make anyone double back to have another look. & yes, those freckles! have fun in milan :) i get lost in the most unlikely places as well; my sense of direction is zilch :(
ReplyDeleteI love how you update with so many posts at once, though this one's my favorite; she's stunning...
ReplyDeleteShe's beautiful - and I also love her purse. Nice shot!
ReplyDeleteWow, she's stunning!
ReplyDeleteAnd already interpreting the 70s trend to come, love her hippie look, and her hair is just gorgeous, I can't stock looking at her hair!
I also like the dramatic black eye make-up, never would have imagined it looking this good with her hair colour, really cool!
Don't get lost in Milan, and if you do, don't worry, I'm sure you'll find some great girls to shot and nice places to visit. I like that part about getting lost, the part where you miss everything you planed not so much :-)
@PD- hee hee! That is super nice of you PD! I think she would be very hard to photograph badly!
ReplyDelete@Sing- She is pretty cool, huh!
@Esther- I know, I loved her smiles as well! I actually was looking at the photos this morning thinking she looked familiar. I then went back and had a look at the ones I took last September and I am sure it was her I photographed. She had the same really cute smile.
Glad someone else has issues with navigation. I wouldn't mind so much if I was just on holiday but when it is work, I feel really anxious getting lost all the time.
@Salony- that is only cos I am hopeless and don't update each day! I actually find that I need to "live" with my photos for a few days before I process them- kind of like a uni assignment. It is always easier to come back and look at them objectively (as much as is possible with your own photos) than to process them on the day I take them. And I feel really tired each night of fashion week that I like to process them after. hence the uploads all at once! Gosh, that was long-winded!
@Nadine2pointo- do you think it is a vintage purse???
@Amica- well, I am wondering if she was styling for Topshop Unique hence her 70's outfit???? I love the hippie look as well (plus it is easy to pick up little pieces from thrift/charity shops to go with new pieces).
Mmmm everyone says that Milan is really confusing though! And that is what I am worried about: missing all the shows!!!
she looks damn cool
ReplyDeletemy favorite part of these pictures--her smile in the first one that you also "see" in the (dare I say it?) wrinkles around her eyes!!!! I love those wrinkles so much. Real smile, real face, and real gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteI also get lost in nyc and every where else i might add. you know what is the best thing ever? the gps "by foot" maps on my iphone. saved me many times!!!! have fun in milan.
aaaaaamazing vanessa! this girl is a hero x
ReplyDeleteI just love this girls outfit - simply gorgeous! The colors in combination with her red hair is so beautiful!
ReplyDeleteReally really nice shot!

My, Vanessa, you've been a busy girl!
ReplyDeleteI shot her too and she told me her name - can't for the life of me remember tho. She's so nice.
These photos are gorgeous - all the posts. Lucky you in Milan, hope you're having a great time. Are you going to Paris, too? Just get in touch when you're back: we're due for a coffee chat. Lovely to see you for a quick hug. xx
p.s. For what it's worth: I lived in NYC for ages and I always always got lost in the West Village. That's where the grid system falls apart.
ReplyDeleteMaps. That's the secret. Get yourself a map in Milan. They're surprisingly helpful, and they really do work. And the sun is also quite helpful for establishing direction. Just remember: it rises in the east and sets in the west.
your photos are getting more and more beautiful!
ReplyDeleteLove the scarf! I just bought a great scarf today, can't wait to wear it like her.

How singular her style is amongst all the Prada clad girls! I adore her individuality. She is celebrating autumn with all those warm sensuous earth colours. Her hair reminds one of the golden light of autumn sun. Enjoy Milan, happy landing;-)
