I´ve just discovered your blog but i`m rolling all the past posts... your touch is enchanting and your choises very ispiring! I think you have the best quality for a photographer, to put out the most intense part of people personality! Every photo is a story adn you deal with it!
@naima- oh thank you so very much Naima! That is really lovely of you to say such kind and thoughtful words. This last fashion season was a struggle- I dnt think I got very good "me" photos (ie the photos I like taking).most of the time I just felt just like I was pointing and shooting.the worst thing was there was so many girls I saw that I wanted to photograph.and so many great settings. I think I am just feeling very frustrated with myself!
I would love to see a post more about you actually. I'm about to finish law school and have been blogging almost the entire time I've been here. I took the plunge earlier this year and purchased a SLR and she and I have been inseparable ever since. I see that you were once a lawyer and I'd love to hear more about your transition from the job that you were "supposed to have" to the career of your dreams.
I Vanessa!, I've followed your work for a long time but I've never posted before. I just wanted to say that I love your work. It's full of life, beauty, simple things, different sights, intimacy, world...It makes me happy!
Oh Vanessa, I haven't had time to come here in a couple of weeks but have caught up and everything, everything is just so beautiful! Very sorry to hear about all your bad news, but hope everything is ok now.
May: Basque country as a travel destination; lunch at Etxebarri (can't wait to try the smoked goat butter on grilled bread); toasted sourdough from Daylesford Organic with hummus and a drizzle of Joseph olive oil; Clover Club cocktails from Mishkins, Covent Garden (love the beautiful raspberry pink hue); Tibi dreamy, floaty mint dress (stunning. How beautiful would this be for an engagement dress?); Imitation Molly lace maxi dress (I photographed Ciara in a similar dress last year and fell in love with it); Imitation slate blue Ingrid dress (I think it has a faintly 40's/vintage feel); Zimmermann Devoted swimsuit (love the vintage corset feel to this swimsuit and the mesh/lace back); Alice + Olivia floral Cady cuff shorts (we in the UK can only dream of slipping a pair of these on right now! We are still in tights/coat weather ;); One Teaspoon crochet trim denim shirt dress (easy wear for festival season); Juicy Couture California '74 racer back tank; L.A.M.B sleeveless mini dress (perfect with a pair of flat sandals after a day at the beach); Monserat De Lucca Apple necklace (sweet as a gift for a best friend....or a well deserved present for yourself); All Saints Corrupt dress (love the rivet detailing); Etoile Isabel Marant Hana playsuit;Butter London Trout Pout nailpolish (despite the name, the colour is pretty!); Anthropologie Chaffinch shower curtain ('cos if you have to have a shower curtain, you want it to be pretty); Watching: Wes Anderson's Moonrise Kingdom (I can't wait to see this movie! The visuals look incredible); Listening to: Rizzle Kicks Mama Do the Hump and Gotye Somebody That I Used to Know; Reading: Christopher Hitchens Arguably and Self Service Magazine; Technology: Springpad. Brilliant for bookmarking/creating notepads. I use it for my travel wishlist
I am an Australian lawyer turned photographer living in London;
I take a thousand photographs every day - some in my head, some with my camera;
I can't imagine doing anything else with my life- I am totally and utterly in love with my camera and with the people and things I photograph
So Beautiful :)

@Everyone- glad you like these photos of Tilda! She is super pretty but also has that sort of grungy, cool look that I love photographing.
ReplyDelete@I want what she's wearing and @Rose- I am just sipping a latte as I type this! I need no encouragement for a coffee :)
@Kate- I am dying to go back to NYC! Would love to do some proper shoots there as I saw some amazing places on my wanderings between shows.
@Elmo- I only noticed her leopard print purse as I was processing the photo! Sometimes I worry about my attention to detail....or lack thereof!

Her look is ambiguously chic, she could be the member of a rock band from the 90’s, really cool especially the bed jacket!
