Doina Ciobanu from The Golden Diamonds blog, before Stella McCartney, Paris, March 2012.
Lemon + duck egg blue. The colours of Doina's outfit reminds me of ice-cold lemon gelato, small (the tinier the better of course ;) boxes from Tiffany & Co., a towering pyramid of pastel coloured macaroons, bars of lemon scented soap, bunches of forget-me-nots, a bottle of Elizabeth Arden's Blue Grass perfume, a robin's nest filled with tiny pale blue jewel like eggs....
Recreate Doina's look (kind of):
Free People Marl yarn pullover, ASOS two tone sweater, Sass & Bide The Driving Seat sweater or Vince sweater
J Brand aqua Luxe twill pants, Rebecca Minkoff turquoise Nicolas pants, Ellery Scuba Tux pants or Theory Yanette pants
Tibi Stella sandals
Hi Vanessa,
ReplyDeleteI'm just another new fan of your blog and photography!
mad love with your films, immediately makes me wanna pick up my film camera again.
However, may I know what films are your favourite? I was thinking someone must have asked you that question and tried googling it so you wouldn't have to repeat yourself again and again but i didnt manage to find the answer :(
would you mind sharing? I realized my favourite wedding and fashion photographers are all using film and I think i need to try that. But certain films just dont give me the feelings and the colours arent exactly what I want, i hope you do not mind to share a little about the films you adore!
your tips will be muchhhh appreciated! :)
love,
kim
I love the colours!

Great jumper !
ReplyDelete@Kah Ying Gan - thank you! To be honest I use anything I can get my hands on. It is SO expensive now and both the big players just keep putting their prices up and up and up despite it being the most profitable part of their business. It is very annoying and disappointing. So I just use whatever is the most cost effective. You should definitely get that camera out and experiment!! I haven't found a black and white emulsion that I am happy with yet - I stuff it up all the time :) It is something I want to work on.
ReplyDelete@Nyrha and @laura - it is pretty isn't it!
