Model Laura Love*, before Chanel Haute Couture, Paris, July 2012.
So summer has finally hit the UK and along with that comes the desire for pretty, floaty summer dresses (anything to keep reasonably cool!). And Laura's gorgeous pink dress has me dreaming of garden parties, weddings in the South of France, cocktails and dinner on a balcony somewhere glamorous..... And her pearl studded bun? perfection.
Recreate Laura's Look (kind of):
J.Crew Lucienne one-shoulder dress, Lela Rose Angel Wing dress, Tibi sleeveless dress, Thread Eleanor Tea length dress, Thayer Chiffon tiered ruffle dress (more for an after-the-beach cocktail party than a wedding) Little Mistress Embellished waistband dress
Add some super high sandals: B Brian Atwood Labrea high heel sandals or Jimmy Choo Valiant mirrored sandals

really gorgeous! everything is so well balanced...
ReplyDeleteThese photos are absolutely stunning!
ReplyDeleteLaura looks absolutely gorgeous and that dress isn't too shabby either :)
I love the neck detail on that dress. Ruffles are so feminine and romantic, especially in pink!
When you add the simple strappy sandals and darker pink clutch, the look becomes even more delicate and elegant.
The pearl pins in Laura's hair are so cool! The pearly smoothness of the pearls contrast really well with the texture and dark smoothness of Laura's bun, adding to the overall vibe of this outfit.
Everything seems to scream fairy princess to me! :)

@everyone - thanks so much for all your kind comments. I didn't take very many photos at couture (so many photographers) but these I managed and they are some of my favourites.
ReplyDelete@Alice and @Jessica - Isn't the neck line gorgeous? It frames her face so well and negates the need for jewellery (although I think she had tiny little hoop earrings in). And yes @Alice , there is something very fairy princess about it! This would be perfect for bridesmaids dresses or to wear to a wedding I think. When I was looking at the photos I did think somewhat of when Gwyneth Paltrow wore that pink dress to the Oscars....I personally loved it :)
@Erica - thank you!
@theionfashion - it is just so floaty and such a perfect length as well.
So elegant!
