Refinery 29's Associate Editor, the lovely Connie Wang, after Jason Wu, NYC, September 2012.
Like Elena's Kenzo sweater, each time I see a tiger/lion print intarsia jumper, I think to myself (not out loud thankfully - no one wants a crazy person around during the fashion weeks ;) Dorothy's line from The Wizard of Oz "Lions, and tigers, and bears! Oh, my!"
Add a cute little pleated leather mini like Connie's to your animal intarsia sweater: Try Alice + Olivia navy pleated leather miniskirt, Aiko Blythe leather skirt, Karl Saatchi pleated faux leather miniskirt, and Sparkle & Fade pleated faux leather skirt
I really love that outfit <3 It looks really really cool with the green skirt + the shirt is amazing! :-) Can i feature you/your picture in one of my blogposts?
ReplyDelete@Emma - sure, no problem re photos!
ReplyDeletelove this look, especially the leather mini! love the mix of bold colors here as well.

As soon as I saw this post, I felt an urge to comment on it. Brilliant photography - a given for you, Vanessa - and I love how fun this look is. It doesn't smack of pretension and try-hard-ness - like a lot of looks during NFW, PFW, LFW and MFW - but has just as much gravitas as Valentino from head to toe.

Connie looks so fashionable and cute in the most refreshing way!
ReplyDeleteI love that instead of piling on as many luxurious items as possible (like many other attendees during fashion weeks), she kept things simple with a sweater, a mini, and a funky pair of booties.
The green+red+blue combo seems so preppy but comes across so well in these photos. The blue and red go together like peanut butter and jelly while the green adds more lovely color that combines with the two in a nice way.
That tiger on Connie's sweater is majorly fierce...I'm not sure if that's a good thing or a bad thing!
As for that pleated mini, ooooooh! The green color is bright but also somewhat muted. I didn't think that was possible but it just somehow works out!
Then, there are those shoes. There's nothing like a wicked cool pair of footwear to take a nice outfit and make it into a very nice outfit. Shoes just add the right amount of something to any look!
