Running With The Fash Pack...London Fashion Week SS 2010

Kateryna Mariash

One Mawi "cocktail" necklace (do you see the little gekko on the side?!)

Two different looks

p.s. I think in the first photos she said the print on her skirt was from the Royal College of Art (London)

Workin' the double denim in the sun :)

Alex Eagle, contributing fashion assistant at Harper's Bazaar (UK).

London Fashion Weekend...Snuggle Up

Sometimes it's just all about throwing on a pair of jeans and a cuddly grey jumper.....sort of like wrapping yourself in a giant hot water bottle :)

This is Louisa by the way!

Running With The Fash Pack...Paris Fashion Week SS 2010

Carla Sozzani, owner of 10 Corso Como (where I have never been because I haven't made it to Milan yet!), who always looks wonderful. She is the sister of Franca Sozzani, the editor of Vogue Italia. Super stylish family, no?

Running With The Fash Pack...Paris Fashion Week SS 2010

Love her lace-up peep-toe boots, corset-style belt and high-waisted skirt.

One of the things I enjoy so much about taking street style photos is taking inspiration from what someone is wearing: it might not be that I would ever try to replicate an entire outfit but I might pull out that turquoise necklace buried deep in my jewellery draw that I had completely forgotten about (like hers), or resurrect a wide, riveted belt languishing on the floor of the wardrobe (belts always manage to slip off my hangers!). From the blog comments I have been getting from you guys, I think most of you are the same: we might not necessarily like everything that someone is wearing but there are, in most cases, little elements that we might think "ooooo, lovely, I'll try wearing that tomorrow".

Running With The Fash Pack...London Fashion Week SS 2010

Liz Goldwyn, filmmaker, writer, jewellery designer (you can find her pretty things in Kabiri in London) and wearer of beautiful clothes, in Erdem.

Running With The Fash Pack....Paris Fashion Week SS 2010

Fashion journalist and creator of the fabulous PRISM glasses (she is wearing the Rio in cream tortoiseshell in the photo, I think), Anna Laub. You can check out Anna's blog here and find out more about her cool glasses here.

Mmmmm given that I do actually wear "proper" glasses (i.e. I need them to see anything further than a metre away!), a pair of these would be an investment buy (as opposed to a "I just want them now" buy), no?

Running With The Fash Pack....London Fashion Week SS 2010

Stunning New York girl-about-town, Tinsley Mortimer, outside the Luella show in September.

Running With The Fash Pack....Paris Fashion Week SS 2010

Wintery creamy-whites outside the Hermes show in Paris. Adore her hair.

Running With The Fash Pack...Paris Fashion Week SS 2010

The gorgeous Neige (who, incidentally, has the most incredibly infectious smile and laugh-see photo below!) who was shooting street style for Vogue Italia last season. I think she is now studying photography full-time in London.

Cool girl, cool outfit.

Stockholm Street Style....Pit Stop

Marcus Lindstedt, owner/buyer for Pit Stop, Stockholm.

I was wandering in SoFo, Stockholm, last year when I spied Marcus, and his tats, through the window of his shop. It was one of those times when my confidence plummetted and I dithered about trying to decide if I should go into the shop and ask if I could take his photo. So glad I did as Marcus was lovely and we had a great chat about his (very cool) shop and the labels he stocks. Oh yeah, and he let me take his photo :))

Next time you are in Stockholm, check out Pit Stop in Sofo.

Stockholm Street Style...Rugged Wear Urbanised

Having a love affair with Timberland-esque boots at the moment in the urban environment. Probably not a coincidence that I have also developed an obsession with The Wire....in the early series Timberland's seemed to be the choice of footwear for the boys in the game (anyone who has watched The Wire will know what I mean: D'Angelo, Wallace et al).

Anyway, when I spotted this gent in Stockholm, apart from being handsome (grey hair at its distinguished best!), I liked what he was wearing: the canvas belt, paint-splashed jacket (perhaps he is an artist?), tortoiseshell glasses, boots (Timberland's?)...rugged wear perfect for the modern urban environment.

Kickin' it in wicked peep-toe boots, very lady-like bouclé skirt, white tee, and an armful of Chanel bangles (which I know you guys can't see very well but trust me, they were!) outside the Tuileries.

Running With The Fash Pack....London Fashion Week SS 2010

Assistant to The Sartorialist, Tracy Rosenbaum, in Burberry trench and all manner of other Gorgeous Things. Adore her turquoise necklace (think she said it was from J.Crew) and her fab wedges in the bottom photo- note the inscription on the side? "Seance On A Wet Afternoon"! Indeed.
p.s. If you are utterly bored, procrastinating and in need of a little diversion and/or just plain curious, you might like to read the wee interview I just gave on Refinery 29. You can check it out here.

Kate, in softly distressed and studded jeans, dressed up courtesy of THAT Hermes bag and a pair of wickedly handsome open-toed, laced wedges. Oh, and a glorious shade of red/orange lipstick (makes me think of icy summer Popsicles!)

Running With The Fash Pack....London Fashion Week SS 2010

Melissa Ventosa Martin, Senior Market and Fashion Editor, The New York Times Style Magazine, in quite the most fabulous thigh high boots! Love that little ruffle thingy at the top of the thigh. Anyone know which brand?

Running With The Fash Pack....London Fashion Week SS 2010

The delicious Apphia (who has featured on the blog before) from Wallpaper magazine looking gorgeous in leather, draping and Christopher Kane (leggings).

Running With The Fash Pack...London Fashion Week SS 2010

Jessica Walsh, Jewellery Editor, Tatler magazine.

Okay, so I know that we are nowhere near leg bearing weather but I needed some cheeriness today and Jessica's pretty creams and blues reminded me of Spring....and the teeny pristine pebbles on the ground reminded me of snow :))

Running With The Fash Pack...London Fashion Week SS 2010

The Vogue UK girls were on the utility trend early: Pippa Holt (left- former Fashion Features Associate) and Emily Zak (Acting Executive Fashion Editor)

Emma Elwick (below), Market Editor

Mmmm have a pair of Punk Royal cargo pants (anyone remember them circa 2001/2002? Those khaki Italian army trousers with Punk Royal written in rather large gothic letters across the ar*e??) squirrelled away somewhere in my wardrobe: must pull them out, dust off and resurrect for the coming Spring/Summer. The utility trend shall not pass me by!

p.s. Talking about Punk Royal (the brand) looks like they are back in business after going bankrupt. And the new jeans line will be out in Spring this year. Check out their website here.

Running With The Fash Pack....London Fashion Week SS 2010

Gorgeous Model Trish Goff in two different looks at LFW. Love that she is working the same bag and gold cuff in both looks.

Running With The Fash Pack....Paris Fashion Week SS 2010

Being Australia Day (waves to any Aussie readers out there!), I couldn't resist including two Aussies that I photographed in Paris outside the Collette Dinnigan show in Paris last season.

This girl, whose name I have completely forgotten (which I feel super bad about as I wanted to tell you about her label) lives in NYC and has a fashion label with her partner. They gave me a lookbook and I seem to have permanently misplaced it (think it was when I was clearing out my handbag in preparation for my visit to the US) :( But, anyway, she was wearing pieces from her label!
p.s. having a hot Milo and a couple of Tim Tams tonight after supper as my Australia Day Treat! Hmmm okay, so maybe more than just a couple of Tim Tams- crikey they are hard to stop at just one!

Running With The Fash Pack....Paris Fashion Week SS 2010

Michelle, from Australian NW magazine, outside the Collette Dinnigan show in Paris. NW magazine used to be one of my weekly must-reads when I was living back home in Australia: great for catching up on all the celeb gossip during the train/bus ride home.

Running With The Fash Pack....London Fashion Week SS 2010

The perennially elegant (and beautiful) Caroline Issa, publisher and editor of TANK magazine. Love the sportswear influence (the hoodie) teamed with the Louboutin's.

p.s. I am aghast at the fact that I am still posting photos from last year's fashion weeks when the next one is just about upon us. I have no one else to blame but myself....too much faffing about and not enough blog posting! Anyway, I still think it useful to post the photos as it gives us a little peek at what me might be wearing/influences for the coming spring/summer. Plus I think, given the current weather in London, that everyone will be rugged up for the shows in February so I will be posting lots of winter looks then!

Running With The Fash Pack....London Fashion Week SS 2010

Christine Centenera, fashion editor, Harpers Bazaar Australia, and owner of the most gorgeous pair of legs!

New York Street Style...Tartan Tease

Laily, who is Brazilian (she is from Sao Paulo) but who currently lives in Dublin but who I met in Soho in New York! Laily's sunglasses are Balenciaga and her badge, Sonia Rykiel.

New York Street Style...In The Trench

I took this guy's photo after passing him while he was lining up at a street vendor/lunch truck in Soho to buy his lunch. I rather liked his casual, slung-together look and especially his suede shoes. And because his lunch looked very tasty, I went back to the street vendor about an hour later and got one of the beef/beans/rice wraps for myself (flinging aside all thoughts of food poisoning, of course!). And it was nice although I think they had just cleaned the grill so there was an ever so slight whiff of detergent which accompanied most bites!
