Running With The Fash Pack....London Fashion Week A/W 2010

The super-stylin' Natalie Hartley, Senior Fashion Editor, at the Sunday Times Style Magazine. I absolutely adore Natalie's GAP (yep, you read that right GAP!) jumpsuit, her exquisite Alexander Wang bag and her very cute Christopher Kane fingerless gloves.

I was contemplating buying those gloves (excellent for Winter camera operation- I can't wear anything with fingers as I can't feel the buttons) when they were on sale. But by the time I dithered about, the grey pair were all sold out....and the yellow pair didn't seem as practical.

Junior Street Style....London Fashion Week A/W 2010

Today felt like family day at London Fashion Week.....so many super cute kids and babies at the shows in the morning (Betty Jackson and Jasper Conran). Such incredibly lucky kidlets to be accompanying their parents/grandparents to take in the action both on (and off!) the catwalk.

Adore her mini-sized spotty trench and the red converse :)

Miss Audrey Leighton Rogers on Day 3 of LFW in vintage everything (her dotty top was 50p at a charity shop and her diaphanous black, err, coat? was from the Salvation Army shop). Her boots are from Ebay.

p.s. someone asked about Audrey's gold flower ring from Day 1- it is from Topshop.

Running With The Fash Pack....London Fashion Week A/W 2010

The stunning Miss Tali Lennox (yep, daughter of Annie) who is now a model.

Adore her shoes- I can't figure out where they are from. Need Tommy Ton (Jak&Jil) sitting next to me- he is like a walking encyclopedia of all things fashion!

Day 2.

Mood: Ever so slightly tetchy and very, very tired.

Reason/s: I received a ticket to the House of Holland show which was on this afternoon. So I duly fronted up with my little handkerchief/scarf thing (which was the ticket) and stood shivering in the cold waiting to get in along with everyone else. As I was contemplating/daydreaming about just how many more thermals I could reasonably squeeze under my See By Chloe dress without bursting the seams, I suddenly hear the music start pumping. What the??!!! Nooooo the show had started and I was still on The Outside. I surged forward with the rest of The Outsiders but, alas, according to the PR the show was "massively over-catered" and there was no way we would be able to squeeze in. Right. Excellent.

So I headed home. And had my lunch at 6:30pm. And now I am having dinner at almost 11:3opm (seared scallops, chorizo and samphire- sort of like very young asparagus- with lemon in case you were wondering!).

Night Night

This is one half of the super stylish duo behind the shoe label KronKron.

Here is the story behind their fashionable journey (stolen shamelessly from their blog!):

"The name has á long story. Long time ago we only had one supermarket in Reykjavík, which name was Kron. Kron represent "Kaupfélag Reykjavíkur og nágrennis" meaning the supermarket of Reykjavík and neighborhood. Because it was the only supermarket in Reykjavík all inhabitants were bound to either work for it or shopping there. In the store you could buy anything from milk, oil, timber and food. This store was closed in 1990.

In the year 2000 we took up the name again and opened a store where you could buy shoes.
Kron became very successful and is now one if the primary shoe stores in Reykjavík. Kron store is known for it´s beautiful shoes, colorfulness and good ambience. In 2004 the opening of Kronkron was the only thing to do, people were craving for design and obviously liked our work. Kronkron has been simbolized with confectionery where you can pick up the most beautiful pieces in international design both in clothes, shoes and accessorize.

Not long ago the magazine Eurowoman chose Kronkron as one of the seven best concept stores in the world. There you can read that Kronkron is a leading concept in the fashion and lifestyle in Iceland with our brands and humorous design. By taking the step to make Kron by Kronkron shoes we are certain that our reputation will only grow and become more remarkable and most definitely there is more to come".

Yep, sometimes my job is just so tough ;-)

And he's French :)

p.s. I didn't catch his name but he is friends with Kristina Gisors, stylist, from Paris (see post from Thursday: she is wearing the Christopher Kane for Topshop dress) who I photographed again today. Kristina has AMAZING new long hair and an utterly smooshy new vest from Helmut Lang....which I wanted to smuggle into my handbag :) Kristina's post up tomorrow.

Miss Audrey Leighton Rogers on Day 2 of London Fashion Week.

Um, and I completely forgot to ask what she was wearing.....so I will ask tomorrow. Also I know someone wanted to know where she got her ring from in Day 1's photo- I will try to remember to ask tomorrow.

Woo Hoo! Welcome to London Fashion Week A/W 2010!!!!!

Okay, so slight excessive use of exclamation marks here but I am on my second (very strong) espresso of the morning and it is only 7:40am. Had a late night last night (work, not play, unfortunately) and got up at stupid-o-clock this morning to upload photos. Already I feel a wee bit drained. Anyhow, I shall solider on for the sake of you guys ;)

So, yesterday? What started off as a bit of a slow Day 1 went completely into turbo-charged overdrive in the afternoon with the most incredible spectacle, both on and off the catwalk, at the Hakaan show. Now I will readily admit that I didn't have much idea who this Hakaan was before the show.....I had a quick peek at his bio on the LFW website and knew he was Turkish but that was pretty much it *hangs head shamefacedly*. However I suspected something was up when the guests started to roll in:

Kate Moss (hellllllllooooooooooooooo!!!!), Carine Roitfeld (double helllllllooooooo!!), Emmanuelle Alt (I was drooling by this stage), George Cortina (who sat next to Ms Moss), David Walliams, and Stephen Gan. And that was just off the runway!

And on the runway? Lara Stone (damn that girl has a fab figure!I loved the look of utter pride on David Walliams face when Lara walked in the finale), Natalia Vodianova (Oh My Lord: how can she possibly have such an amazing figure after giving birth to all those babies?!), Natasha Poly, Anja Rubik....the list goes on.

And the clothes? wearable (although some of the cut-outs and catsuits would only really work on the most toned of figures) and rather special.

Hakaan we salute you.....and your celebrity friends!

And my dapper man here? Its fashion public relations manager, Matthew Zorpas, whose photo from last season I posted on Thursday!
p.s. Sorry guys- I was meaning to reply to your comments this morning cos I know some of you have asked me questions etc. I will get to them tonight as I have now run out of time.

The utterly gorgeous Nina in Comme des Garçons. Nina is from Paris but she is now studying here in London. I adored her little cutaway leather gloves, and her boots, and her hair and her Balenciaga bag.....French women.... (sigh).

Yesterday there was some extremely well-dressed boys sauntering about Somerset House and, coincidentally? they happened to be Italian!

Francesco Casarotto, fashion coordinator SLURP magazine, who was wearing a mix of vintage, Prada and Levi's jeans. Francesco lives in Milan now but is from Venice.

Running With The Fash Pack....What Audrey Wore Next

So, long-time blog readers will all know the lovely Audrey Leighton Rogers from Frassy. And if you aren't familiar with her blog, go take a peek NOW! Miss Audrey will be updating daily from LFW (which, um, some of us *Vanessa looks around innocently, whistling* may not be doing if the tiredness/tetchiness bug hits too hard) and has some amazing outfits which I will be documenting each day in a little feature called "What Audrey Wore Next".

Audrey's outfit from yesterday was a vintage blazer, dotty tights from Urban Outfitters, Topshop striped tunic, New Look laced boots and sweet little H&M hat. And in case you were wondering (I was!) Audrey was wearing a cute little pair of shorty shorts under her striped tunic ensuring her modesty remained completely intact getting off the railing!

Christopher Kane (for Topshop and for his eponymous label) appeared to have the most visible presence at London Fashion Week in September last year with seemingly everyone sporting a little something, something from one of his labels.....lets see what this season brings!
