Love that record. What a story from 1974. It's not a probable scenario nowadays. http://blogs.colette.fr/tintintorncrantz/2009/05/16/an-everyday-story-of-country-folk/
Hey Cameron- Exactly!!! What a story. I actually googled the "alternative" cover from the album to see what it was like (in the countries where it got censored)- was it just the "trees" shot??? p.s. I am just reading that article now from TinTin Torncrantz - brilliant. I love the way that shot came together: using an omo box to set the focus because the only light source was from the rental car- and just 3 rolls of film. No fancy pants stuff- just pure sexy, rock'n'roll. Love it. Johanna- thanks Johanna! I just like the little things he's got going on to make it his own- the rolled up sleeves, the skull pendant, the heavy-glasses, and, of course, that slicked back hair.
Haha, my dad had that record, I remember discovering it when I was 8 and being totally shocked by the cover :D. I'm going to read that article too now.
Kim- hope you read the article- it was really well written I thought. And it just goes to show how times have changed- noone would think twice about wearing that tee-shirt now!
