Chinese model Lina Zhang, after Ohne Titel, NYC, February 2012.
Slouchy trousers (excellent for hiding the excesses of the holiday season! Heston for Waitrose hidden orange Christmas pudding, custard, roast potatoes, I am looking at you!) plus a smart winter coat and scarf = perfect for brunch with friends, hitting the sales, running around town doing post-Christmas errands.
Recreate Lina's look (kind of):
Coat: J Brand Beta coat, J.Crew Stadium-cloth cocoon coat, Victoria Beckham zip-detailed coat, Sophie Hulme leather-trimmed wool felt coat, or Topshop Premium domed sleeve coat
Slouchy pants: See by Chloe jersey track pants, Etoile Isabel Marant Pidoo felt tapered pants, 10 Crosby Derek Lam cinched ankle pants,Theory Katla leather pants, Topshop Boutique wool jogger, or Sam & Lavi hala pant
Burberry checked scarf, or Burberry Icon check cashmere scarf
Lina is such an adorable name!
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely face to match a cute name!
While Lina may look sweet and have the face of a porcelain doll, I love that her outfit is masculine enough to provide a good deal of contrast. The cream coat has a nice simple cut and a soft warmth that pairs really well with that iconic scarf. Like you've already said, Vanessa, the slouchy pants are perfect for hiding all sorts of things, perhaps most importantly those extra helpings of dessert that we all may or may not have had. :) A cozy and comfy look perfect for those days of recovery following massive amounts of holiday feasting (and maybe also braving all the post-holiday sales)!
