I love this elegant look on Jane - so beautiful. Often when I photograph people I am thinking to myself "Okay, how would this work in 'real life'/where could you wear this look" (and in the case of Anna Dello Russo I am thinking "Damn Skippy. ONLY Anna can pull this off!"). Coming up to party season (and winter weddings), I thought Jane's look would be inspiration for when you need a "party" outfit but want something you can wear again (even to work). A full black skirt + lace trimmed top  are both pieces you could wear separately during the day, depending on what you pair them with. I think a party dress is a lot trickier to make wearable during the day (unless you are Anna of course!).

A little shoot that I did back in August with beautiful Scottish model Morven and styled by talented designer + stylist Verity Pemberton with gorgeous hair & make-up by Jessica Mejia. The shoot day turned out to be the hottest summer day this year so we were all positively melting especially Morven who was a trooper when we put her in heavy winter pieces (the vintage swimsuit was a lunchtime cool-down treat!).

As soon as I saw Susie's skirt all I could think of was a nostalgic Christmas tin of Quality Street chocolates (specifically the chocolate sweetie wrapped in the metallic pink wrapper). When I started saying this to Susie, she giggled and completed my sentence: clearly I wasn't the only one who thought so! Better late to the party than never I guess :)

Elegance and style at any age....Margaret was shopping with her husband along the Rue du Faubourg Saint-Honoré when I spotted her. She graciously allowed me to take her photograph. I doubt she will ever see this photo, but I am so happy that she allowed me to take it.

p.s. Adore her red lipstick. I imagine (and that is the beauty of photographs - they let you imagine) that even if she is spending the day at home, Margaret carefully puts on some lipstick and powder and sets her hair.

The wonderful thing about Tamu's style is, even though she wears pieces that are new season/"on-trend", she never looks like has just walked into a store, picked out an entire outfit and then tardis-ed herself to fashion week.
