Stockholm Street Style...Filippa Smeds

I was lucky enough to spend two days in Stockholm the week before last and even luckier to catch up with 2 girls who I've photographed before on the blog: Filippa Smeds (who I met at LFW in September) and Marion from Marion Rocks blog, who I met in Paris earlier this year (Marion's photos to follow later this week!).

Filippa is one of those super-dooper multi-taskers girls who never fail to make me jealous: model, stylist and fashion editor at Radar Magazine she also had on the most envy-inducing shoes: those gorgeous Acne Atacoma black wedge-heeled ankle boots with the little silver insert running along the bottom. The.Most.Seriously.Perfect.Wedge.Ankle.Boots.Ever.

Oh yeah, and just look at her smooshy, ever-so-perfectly distressed leather and sheepskin bomber jacket. Humph. These Swedish girls.....They Got Style.

  1. wow, those are some killer wedges!
I love her jacket and layers. And she's gorgeous, her hair is amazing.
    Love your photography as always,

  2. Oh it's so funny because today I just asked Filippa if she would be interested in me interviewing her for my blog and she said yes :)
I love her style, her Acne wedges are AWESOME. And god, that hair !!!! Gorgeous ! Swedish girls rock !!!!! :D
(and great pics, as usual ^^)

  3. I'm going to Stockholm on Friday! I've spent so long worrying about how cold it's going to be, but that girl has ankle showing...ahh I can't wait to go...

  4. Luccie-I suspect if I wore those wedges I would end up in a hospital room with a broken tibia but Filippa seemed to manage perfectly in them (even on the Stockholm cobblestones!)
Marion- hee hee! You guys will get on brillantly! She is absolutely lovely and I can see you two becoming fast friends in Stockholm :))) I can't wait to read your interview!
Claire- Ooh Claire you will LOVE LOVE STockholm- it is awesome! It is such a lovely place and the Swedes are uber friendly-a couple of people asked me if I was lost and needed directions while I was standing with my map looking a bit confused on the street! The food is fantastic: make sure you go to the large indoor food market near Stureplan and have a meal at one of the little restaurants inside; visit Sofo for the really cool shops (I loved Grandpa, Acne and Fifth Avenue Shoe Repair) and cafes (I had a great meal at Urban deli); the Moderna Museet art gallery is fantastic as well (they are currently showing a Dali exhibition). And try the hot chocolate and cinnamon buns at the tiny cafe, Chokladroppen, near the Nobel museum in the old city. It is lovely and cosy especially as it gets dark so early now in Stockholm-I think it was almost dark around 2:30pm, 3:00pm when I was there! Have an amazing time, Claire :)

  5. she is so gorgeous, love how you always give a little background on the interesting people you photograph.

  6. I really like your blog!

I recently started blogging about fashion in Toronto, come visit and follow if you like. Thanks for your support!

  7. Hi Vanessa!!

Long time no speak. Sorry I didn't get to see you when you here in NY recently : (( Guerre filled me in.

I have those ACNE's and I tell you something: My tongue fell out my mouth, hit the ground and rolled out the first time I saw them. LOL!!

    Keep up the fab posts.

Hopefully our paths will cross soon.

    Karen x

  8. I am in love with that jacket!!!! Another thing to add to my already overwhelming-ly long list.

  9. Do you know where that jacket is from? I've been searching for one excatly like that!

  10. Hey Jenn- damn, no I am not sure where Filippa got her jacket- let me try and find out for you. Maybe do a little search on shopstyle to see if anything similar comes up????
