Perfection.
I'm not sure what is more adorable: what they are wearing, their hair or their "I must know what shade it is" lipstick. The perfect shade of pink.
p.s. Finally I have taught myself to do a collage. It has been on my to-do list for, oh, about a year now and tonight I worked it out. Kind of. It looks really small but you can click on the photo and it goes large. Argh. Shall reply to all your lovely comments/questions from the last couple of days tomorrow morning. I am so tired I think my brain has already gone to bed :)

Once again...I am polluting your comments wall with my slightly creepy adoration
xx

Oh the hair!! Gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteI have seen these sisters before on style blogs...I wonder who they are?
ReplyDeleteBeautiful collage work, Vanessa!! Great job.
ReplyDeleteThey must have stepped right out of a painting from the National portrait gallery! Love her intersting gold and sheer dress too!
ReplyDeleteI wish you could show us the picture on the top right, it looks beautiful. Shame its too small. Do you have any more pictures of these girls? Please post!!!
ReplyDeletegreat collage and I gave to learn how to do it too. photoshop? i'm in love with their lipstick, (also outfits, and beauty). thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteThanks everyone! They are absolutely beautiful aren't they. I actually photographed them the day before this (this was at the Karl Lagerfeld show on the Sunday morning)just as they were coming out of their hotel. I will show you those photos as well next week.
ReplyDelete@KohCo and @Meg: Craig from Altamira actually told me their names and now I can't remember them-grrrr. I am entirely useless at names unless I write them down. I first saw them on The Sart maybe a year or so ago and feel in love with their look then.
What I thought was really sweet was that their mum (at least I think that's who it was) was holding their jackets for them and also filming them being photographed! They seem super nice.
@KohCo- I ADORE your comments!!! They always make me giggle :)))))
@Lindsey- I do have more photos of them but I thought it might be a bit creepy weird if I posted any more! Maybe I will try and post the photo for you in the comments section? Don't know if that will work though....I will give it a whirl.
@Carole and @Meg- ahhhh thank you re the collage. Just a pity I can't make it bigger. I think I need to change my blogger format so that it fits properly. @Carole- I cheated and did it in Picasa! It is super easy and does it all for you- okay, so I say easy but it still took me hours to figure it out properly. I am NOT GOOD with tecchie computer stuff.
@C- I love that she has paired it with skinny jeans- I am a big fan of the dress over skinnies look.
@The Photodiarist- ha ha: you only see the ones I post, not all the hideous stuff-ups because I don't know how to control the light :)
I love their hair as well- a corkscrew perm could NEVER achieve this!
I love how you reply to your comments :) the pics are fab
ReplyDeleteTheir names are Sama and Haya, I saw them in Vanity Fair Italia, it said they were Luisa Beccaria's muses :O and they're only 16! Great collage Vanessa!
ReplyDeleteit's been so fun to watch your photographs evolve and get so much less timid/stronger as you shoot more. i really love your work and i'm so glad to have caught on to you in the beginning!!

Holier than Now
adorable, like a painting. so delicate. and yes, the colour of the lipstick - need to have it!
ReplyDeleteHow come your comments don't show up? I commented before but its not here anymore :(
ReplyDelete@Kate- hey Kate, your comment is there now! I was having a little cheeky Saturday sleep-in and have only now turned on the computer to moderate comments. Off now for a stagger around the park- so don't feel like going but MUST DO IT!
ReplyDelete@Isabella S- Brilliant!!! Thank you for clearing that up, Isabella! I think all of us will now be googling their names :)
@Holier Than Now- Oooo thank you, HTN!!! I refuse to look at my old photos- I cringe when I catch a peek of them :) I remember the first time that I photographed a complete stranger- it was for the 100 Strangers Project on Flickr. It was a Dad and a little kid in Hyde Park at the Winter Wonderland. I basically ran up, clicked and ran away "a click and run", I guess. It was so incredibly scary but I am so glad I conquered my fear and kept going. I still suck a lot but hopefully I suck a little bit less each time I go out with my camera :) One of my favourite photographic blogs to read is The Pixelated Image by David duChemin (a must read if you are into photography) and he wrote the BEST post the other week called "Confessions of a So-Called Pro". It completely resonated with me (as it did with a bunch of other people judging by the number of comments!). Here's the link if you want to read:

@Karuko- we must find out what brand and colour!
What is it about fashionable twin sisters that has us all mesmerized? ;-)
ReplyDeleteI love that dress, it's stunning.
Hi Vanessa, is it possible to enlarge the two photos on the right of the collage? They look so nice!
ReplyDelete@Alice- Hi Alice, okay, let me see if I can post those 2 photos because @Lindsey wanted to see one of them bigger as well. Not my fault if I end up looking like a creepy photographic stalker of Sama and Haya- you guys are going to have to take the blame! ;-)
ReplyDeletei love the wind in their hair!
ReplyDeletethey also have their own thread on the fashion spot: http://forums.thefashionspot.com/f50/sama-haya-abu-khadra-99075.html
The first picture is mesmerising: for a split second, I thought it might be a reflection in a mirror.

Oh, Vanessa, they're gorgeous! I love that print dress with the bell-bottom sleeves. I didn't realise you went to Paris fashion week!
ReplyDeleteI think I remember them from the Satorialist, too, they're sisters.. blanking on their names, too, tho. And congrats on your new collage! ; )

1st shot is incredible! I thought first it was a mirror effect, but the lips...
ReplyDeleteReally beautiful.
