Paris Fashion Week AW 2012...Nadia

Nadia Sarwar, before Isabel Marant (I think!), Paris, March 2012.

Recreate Nadia's super cute look (kind of):

Zero + Maria Cornejo Devo dress (add a navy long sleeve tee like Nadia until the weather warms up) or Carven dungaree style dress (adore this dress especially the back with the crossover straps) or Topshop hooded jersey midi dress

  4. That first shot of Nadia is beautiful and seems to capture her character perfectly (based on what I see in her blog).

  7. @stella - that is such a cute way to describe Nadia in this outfit! She does look so sweet and elfen but in a grown up way.

@The Foolish Aesthete - I know, it is very "her" isn't it. I am glad you like that first photo, it is my favourite out of this series! In fact close/ "portrait" style shots are always my favourite :)

@Mica - it was freaking cold in Paris so I am impressed that Nadia didn't have a coat!

  12. I'm not sure if I like your "recreate the look" part, I love & draw inspiration from your photos, and I personally wouldn't want to photocopy the look. In a way, it is good because if I do like one part of the outfit, say, the shoes, I would be able to find a similar pair using the reference you gave, but at the end of the day, I don't know if I would want to copy the look wholesale. On a bright note, I'm always always inspired by your posts, more than recreating the look, I "retwist" it in my own way!(: love your blog!

  13. @everyone - thanks so much!

@Aoife - I really must come to Dublin some time. I haven't made it to Ireland yet!

@Alicia - you got it! Totally about inspiration not about putting the look together exactly as the person in the photograph has - very much about reworking it so it suits your life/body/budget/look. So perhaps my use of the word "recreate" is a bit confusing! I agree that most people prefer to use images as inspiration and then put their own twist on things. In Nadia's case, some people might like a dress that is similar but would wear it with platform heels and socks, not boots and a beanie etc etc. Glad you are inspired, Alicia. xx
